Dr. Joelle Nader

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. Joelle Nader joined the GSR Office at the Lebanese American University in August 2019, where she was appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. She is primarily working on special strategic research studies in her field of expertise while coordinating with the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research. On the other hand, having a multidisciplinary background, she is providing support to different research clusters and faculty members to pursue advanced empirical research projects, from initiation till publication. Moreover, she has some teaching duties and she is cooperating with LAU surveys, reviews and quality assurance and credentialing activities.

Dr. Nader received the MS and PhD degrees in “Industrial Technology” and “Industrial Process Engineering” in 2009 and 2017, respectively, from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. She has a strong background in several areas including: Chemical Engineering, Industrial Process Engineering and Applied Science, Process Modeling and Optimization, Advanced Statistics, Innovative Industrial Technologies, Project Management, Product and Process Development, Production Management (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, etc.) and QHSE Management Systems. In addition, her research interests stem from her goal of developing improved technologies (i.e. extraction, expansion, chemical and thermo-mechanical processes) to be applied on several types of products efficiently manufactured in the industries.

Dr. Nader spent the last 5 years developing her skills as a researcher, part-time instructor (at American University of Beirut, Saint Joseph University of Beirut and ISSAE-CNAM University), primary advisor, reviewer and industrial consultant where she won several performance awards after her graduation with highest honors. Most recently, the novelty of her works was awarded by patents registered in 2014 and a number of articles and conference proceedings published in refereed journals and conferences.
