Dr. Shujaat Abbas
Research Faculty
Dr. Shujaat Abbas has done his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Karachi, Pakistan in 2015. Currently he is serving Graduate School of Economics and Management, Ural Federal University, Russian Federation as senior researcher and associate professor. He is also associated with Adnan Kassar School of Business, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon as non-resident research scholar.Research work of Dr. Abbas focuses on area of policy research concerning issues related to international economics, international tourism, environment economics, and energy economics. Currently, he is working on various dimensions of Energy Transition and attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with special focus on SDG 7, SDG8, and SDG13. Dr. Abbas has published more than 100 research articles in top tier leading academic journals such as Energy Economics, Journal of Cleaner Production, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Review, Energy Policy, Environmental Management, Sustainable Development, Current Issues in Tourism, International Migration, and others.
