​Dr. Umer Shahzad

Research Faculty

Dr Umer Shahzad holds PhD Economics from School of Economics, Shandong University, China. His research interests include environmental economics, bioeconomy, energy finance, green economy, and environmental sustainability. He has worked on several city level research projects in Anhui Province, China. He has worked as associate scientific researcher and economist in Anhui University of Finance and Economics, China for more than three years.  He has completed post doctorate in economics from University of Bucharest, Romania. He worked on aquaculture economics project in University of Galway, Ireland. Currently, He is engaged as researcher in Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague.  He aspires to conceptualize and work on thought provoking research articles in the fields of economic, and energy finance and new angles of SDG’s. He is in editorial board member at financial innovation, environment development sustainability, Societal impacts and few other Journals.   

 

In recent years, he has published a number of top journal articles, including “Annals of operational research,” “Technological forecasting and social change,” “Business strategy and environment,” “Energy economics,” and “Renewable energy sources.” He is on the editorial board of Financial Innovation, Environmental Development and Sustainability, and other academic journals. His research interests include environmental economics, bioeconomics, energy finance, green economy and environmental sustainability.
